So FA is on hold for a moment. since the halloween deadline passed and I missed it I don't really see the point in rushing it.
however, I was in uni the other day and me and one of the guys out of my class came up with this hilarious idea for a sketch. So right now Im gunna work on that instead. It'll give me a chance to hone some of the skills Im currently lacking too.
here's one of the rough sketches from the story board.
Ok, so it's taking a little longer than first expected. Uni projects taking priority of my time of course, that and the lack of sound effects I have for this thing. I've chosen the music I wanna use already. But again, lack of sound effects is definitely putting a downer on this project.
I'm hoping for an October 30th release. But if not, then expect it sometime on the 31st, Halloween itself.
Here's a pic of the "head turn" I was just animating.
(Also if you guys know a good site I can get sound effects from, such as door bells, door handles rattling, zombie roars etc. then please post a link)
Gotta say I'm pretty exited about this now, I finally got in touch with NathanDay who is the writer and now voice actor of this little story. I plan on getting this finished sometime next week, maybe a little later if Uni work gets in the way.
But right now, It's looking good. HERES A PREVIEW
All I gotta do now is fix these flash ads :/
Never mind, it was all a matter of checking a box on the flash api page, the flash ads are now good to go! :D
Seriously, I'm about 20% of the way through the actual animation. Then all I have to do is add the music and sound FX. I'm really exited about this! This is going to be my first non stick animation on NewGrounds.
Well here's some info about the project:
It's a short cartoon about the last (or not) living man in the area after nuclear bombs have fallen. He has been sitting and watching a recording of the last live broadcast ever shown on TV... I won't give too much away but it's a fun concept to work with.
oh, and I'm submitting it for Halloween. :)
I have finally started uni, and I am finally studying the one thing I have dreamed about since I was little. ANIMATION.
I am going to make a vow, right here and now, and this news post will act as a reminder to myself. I now feel that I am in the right environment and state of mind to start animating for real. I am going to attempt all the art competitions and flash holidays newgrounds has to offer, and I'm going to sit down and write a cartoon, then after that i will write another, and another. until i have piles of sketchbooks filled with ideas. then I'm going to go over to my computer and animate the FUCK out of them. I cant promise they will be good at first, I cant promise I'll get well known with the first submissions. BUT GOD DAMN IT NEWGROUNDS! I WILL GET FRONT PAGE ONE DAY! and it might not be next week, or in a year or two. But I swear to you, I will get it.
it's time for me to start making some cartoons, see you on the front page guys.

You know I never knew you could make money from ads on your artwork! I know I must be late to realise this, but who cares! I made some goddamn money!!!
Just finished this about 30 minutes ago- Go vote and critique HERE
If you haven't heard already, Rage Against The Machine have stolen the first place crown of the UK singles chart. Read more about it HERE
Also I've been busy this year at college, and I've decided to show you guys some of my work. I've never really worked on canvas before, especially on the scale i was working (A0 Size Canvas). but ive been enjoying doing it so look out for more of my canvas paintings to come.
Go check them out and leave some critique :)
I'm just finishing off the front page now. I'm trying to keep most of the elements from the story when I re-draw all the events. But please, to all the people who contributed to the original story... Please don't be offended if I choose to leave your part out. I'm trying to make this thing flow, like a comic.
I'm gunna post up the cover page soon.
